Role Summary

The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the processes, systems, and insights that power our commercial engine. This role partners closely with Marketing and Sales to ensure the organization has the data, tools, and reporting needed to scale efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Reporting & Insights

Build, optimize, and maintain actionable dashboards to track website traffic, lead engagement, pipeline, bookings, revenue, campaign performance, forecast accuracy, and customer lifecycle metrics

Analyze trends and provide insights to improve forecasting, territory management, campaign optimization, and business decision-making

Identify bottlenecks and recommend data-driven actions to improve conversion and predictability

Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting sources

Commercial Tech Stack Ownership

Own and administer the commercial tech stack

Implement upgrades, integrations, and process improvements without unnecessary complexity

Balance short-term needs with long-term scalability—selecting tools that grow with the company

Drive adoption through training, documentation, and 1:1 support

Process Optimization & Enablement

Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales to streamline customer journey touchpoints

Support new product introductions by operationalizing pricing, SKU setup, forecasting, reporting, and commercial readiness

Design and optimize go-to-market processes: lead management, qualification, routing, handoff, and account segmentation

Translate commercial strategy into operational workflows that are simple, repeatable, and measurable

Data Governance & Quality

Establish data governance standards across commercial systems

Monitor data quality, lead routing, duplicate management, and enrichment programs

Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, privacy policies, data handling)

Candidate Profile

Required Experience & Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline

3–7+ years of commercial operations, sales operations, marketing operations, or revenue operations experience—ideally in the life sciences, biotech, diagnostics, or scientific tools industry

Key Attributes

Deep comfort with key CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, GA4, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.)

Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with Excel/Sheets and BI tools
