CNS-3D Plasticity Organoids Enable Functional Assessment of Learning- and Memory-Related Drug Effects

CNS-3D Plasticity Organoids combine paired human iPSC-derived cortical organoids with a custom electrode array to form a connected, trainable neural network. This model allows researchers to investigate how drug candidates affect synaptic plasticity—the activity-dependent strengthening and weakening of neural connections that plays a central role in learning and memory. By measuring changes in network potentiation alongside molecular and pathological endpoints, CNS-3D Plasticity Organoids enable integrated assessment of learning-related neural activity and disease biology.

Functional Drug Testing

Evaluate whether drug candidates enhance or impair learning- and memory-related neural function.

Trainable Human Neural Network

Paired CNS-3D Organoids form connected neural networks that can be trained to produce measurable changes in network function.

Learning-Related Synaptic Plasticity

Training drives sustained network potentiation and adaptive neural responses, with effects enhanced by BDNF and blocked by DL-AP5.
